I believe that within our bodies, there's an intelligence that goes way beyond what our conscious mind can understand. Our bodies have all the answers to our most important questions, if we care to listen. And like a flower that constantly grows towards the light, our bodies are constantly trying to move towards greater health and harmony. Though sometimes there are things that get in the way, bogging down our system and depleting our inner resources.
When that happens, sometimes our bodies need some help to find their way to the light of health and harmony again. My work is aimed not at “fixing” the body, but at supporting the body in finding that path back into its unique expression of health.
To do that, we may work at the physical level of soft tissue to free up restrictions and allow greater flow and alignment with some deep tissue warm bamboo massage. Or we may work at the fluid level, addressing deeper patterns of tension in the central nervous system with craniosacral therapy. Or we may work at the energetic level clearing old energy patterns and entanglements with energy work. We may also work at the emotional level, creating a safe space to release the stored away emotions trapped in the body tissues. Work at any of these levels ripples out to affect the entire system. We will create a healing path together that works best for you and the intelligence of your unique body.
I’ve been a massage practitioner since 2012, graduating from Cortiva Institute of Massage Therapy in Seattle, WA. As well as completing a year long craniosacral therapy training and various other bodywork modalities. I've also been an intuitive healer, somatically based life coach and wellness counsellor since 2008.
My touch is gentle yet intentional and effective. I take the time to really listen to my clients and build a relationship of trust where the therapeutic work can happen within a non-judgmental and supportive environment. All diversities are welcome in my space!
When I’m not exploring the healing arts I can be found hiking, walking along beaches, doing yoga, dancing, taking in live music, cooking, reading, or learning to play ukulele. I've recently returned to Canada after over a decade living in the United States and abroad. So happy to be calling Vancouver Island home!
I look forward to supporting your healing journey!
